It's often said that the first casualty of war is truth. The way that Palestinian Arabs and their allies lie about this conflict is ample evidence of that. They have lied from the 1920s onward, falsely claiming at that time that Jews would tear down the Al-Aqsa Mosque. They lied during the 1947-8 war, falsely claiming that Israelis would exterminate all Arabs, prompting many of them to leave at the behest of their commanders. The Palestinian Arabs would indeed have done something like that to the Jews, had they won, so it's a case of psychologically projecting their genocidal ambition. They are so indoctrinated, I don't believe they know they're lying anymore. Antisemitism and jihad are powerful drugs, warping reality to the point that they twist everything into supporting their collective hatred.
And how can it be called genocide when the population keeps increasing exponentially despite the conflict? "Since 1950, the population of the Gaza Strip has grown dramatically, increasing from approximately 240,000 to over 2.1 million people by late 2024." The increase has slowed down due to the recent war, but at no time could the number of war casualties rightly be equated with genocide. It trivializes the word "genocide" to call that war by that name, or to label the century-long conflict there genocidal when, in every case, Israel is responding to Arab aggression and is put in a defensive posture.
Yes, Israel is winning militarily, which is a good thing, because it actually prevents a genocide of Jews by Hamas and Iran (their stated intention is to wipe out all the Jews, similar to Hitler's mandate). There was, however, a well-documented massacre executed by the people of Gaza on peaceful Israeli communities on October 7, consistent with Hamas's openly stated ambition to commit a genocide of Jews. That is the only meaningful use of the word "genocide" in the context of this war. Every use of it as applied against Israel is a perverse and wicked lie.
All casualties in that war are 100% the responsibility of Hamas for 1) starting the war, and 2) barbarically using their own citizens as human shields (or as they like to think of it, as martyrs for Islam). The IDF has used precision bombing and warned citizens to leave the warzone before attacks. They have gone out of their way to avoid unnecessary deaths. Iran and Hamas don't care if the Arabs die there as human sacrifices for Islam, but they know how to use those deaths as Pallywood propaganda, to convince naïve Westerners that there's a genocide, turning them into useful idiots for Islamic terrorism and Jew-hatred.
Then the Leftist useful idiots support these terrorists. It's so evil that the only word I can use to describe it is Satanic. But I also believe that Israel will prevail, as it always has, but not without a lot more blood being shed on both sides. The recent announcement by Starmer, Macron, and Carney to side with Hamas by recognizing Palestine while there are still hostages being held and Hamas is still in power is just insane. It's tantamount to supporting a genocide of Jews. As for the Palestinians, they need to be liberated from Hamas and moved far away from Israel, well out of rocket range, to some Arab or African country where they can kill each other. They should not be moved to the West to spread their antisemitic hate. Yet many of them are moving to Europe, Canada, and Australia, unfortunately.
I feel a world tsunami of Jew Hatred, just as you've eloquently described. Yet I hope that it is exaggerated by social media i.e. the "algorithm" and that most people don't believe such. Am I in denial?
